Wireless Festival 2012: Latest News

The Canadian megastar Drake has been announced as the headline act for the Barclaycard sponsored Wireless Festival on Saturday the 7th July 2012. Drake joins Rihanna, who was announced as the Sunday headline act, only leaving the Friday headline slot yet to be announced. The huge festival will take place in London’s Hyde Park between Friday the 6th and Sunday the 8th of July.

Tickets for Rihanna‘s only UK show of 2012 are currently on sale and tickets for the newly announced Drake on the Saturday go on sale Friday 3rd February at 9am.

The Saturday show is looking like a must buy, with the eccentric British rap star Example lining up alongside Taylor Gang’s Wiz Khalifa and the ‘At Your Inconvenience’ mastermind Professor Green.

The Sunday has seen more action in terms of the line-up with a number of well-known and in demand artists lining up alongside Rihanna. Brit Nominee and worldwide talent, Jessie J, has booked herself onto the highly anticipated festival. The young Brits seem to be taking the world by storm and the ‘Stereotypical’ Brighton lads Rizzle Kicks confirm this, as they are also join by ‘Earthquake’ star Labrinth on the Sunday. Further Sunday acts are U.S rapper J Cole, Calvin Harris, who was Rihanna‘s support act for her 2011 UK tour, dubstep producer Flux Pavilion and DJ and producer Kaskade.
